Four Physics Department members attended and presented at the Summer 2015 National AAPT Meeting, July 24-29, at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD.
The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) is the main physics education organization in the country. It brings together physics educators from across the world for its annual summer meeting. Krithika Venkataramani presented a poster entitled “Nanoscience: Working with Matter at the Nano-scale” and Martin Kamela presented on “An International Partnership for Science Outreach”. In addition, Shon Gilliam and Jeremy Hohertz attended workshops to improve student experince in General Physics.
