Coffee and desserts, music, and poetry from diverse traditions. Learn about religious and spiritual groups at Elon.
A fun way to connect with religious and spiritual life at Elon University. Hear about all our student groups, including multiple faith traditions (Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist), a secular group, interfaith community, and groups for meditation and yoga that include religious and non-religious students.
Meet new people, enjoy music and poetry from multiple traditions, and don’t forget coffee and desserts. Drop in for part of the Coffee House or stay for the whole thing. All are welcome.
The line-up consists mostly of student performers, a mix of religious and more secular music and poetry, including Tyler Meacham and Jacob Lenz of Cracked Vessels, Lea McNamara, Jessika Dorkas and Gabrielle Toledo, SJ Knowlton, and others. There’s also two faculty contributions: Julie Lellis presenting a chant from the Yoga Sutras and David Cooper performing with Red Nucleus.
The Coffee House is in McBride Gathering Space in the Numen Lumen Pavilion on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 7-9 p.m.
