Friends and family of a student who died in January will gather in front of Danieley K at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, to plant a sapling that honors his legacy.
A tree planting takes place the morning of Saturday, Aug. 29, to honor the memory of an Elon University student who died in January.
Over the past few months, friends of Trent Stetler ’16 have coordinated with the university to donate a sapling in his name to be planted in front of a residence hall where he spent a significant amount of time his freshman year.
There will be a short service, a handful of speakers, and refreshments. Organizers ask that anyone planning to attend arrive a few minutes earlier to keep the program on schedule.
For more information, contact Elon student Nicholas Cianciara at ncianciara@elon.edu. A Facebook event has been created for RSVPing to the planting.
