Sixteen students were welcomed into the Lambda Xi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi honor society.
Beta Alpha Psi, an international honorary organization for financial information students and professionals, initiated 16 students on Sept. 1. The Lambda Xi chapter is hosted by Elon University’s Department of Accounting in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.

Undergraduate students must have declared a major in accounting or finance, completed at least one year of collegiate courses (30+ semester hours) and have obtained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.
The Elon chapter holds weekly meetings with business professionals and host several professional development and career events, including the Accounting Meet and Greet, coming up on Sept. 14.
Service is another key aspect of the university’s chapter. Members have the opportunity to provide service through tutoring programs, food drives and Habitat for Humanity.
