Greensboro Aquatic Center held a U.S. Masters Swim Camp and partnered with Elon University Associate Professor of Physical Therapy Education Daryl Lawson and third-year student Laura Wilson to screen swimmers prior to camp.
The purpose of this screen was to identify any deficits of strength, ROM, flexibility or movement patterns and educate the participants on this information in order for them to be more efficient and safer in their sport. On the last day of camp, the campers were given specific information regarding their strengths and weaknesses along with ways that they could improve upon these areas. The information was well received and the camp was a huge success.
