The School of Communications instructor will assist a specialty group within the council, providing top-tier guidance to clients facing communications challenges.
Denise Hill, an instructor in the School of Communications, was recently named to APCO Worldwide’s International Advisory Council in a consulting role. Hill, who teaches in the strategic communications track, will utilize her extensive communications background on an advisory basis for APCO’s clients through its Corporate Communication Strategies (CCS), a sub-group of the council.
“We are delighted to welcome Denise to APCO,” said Brad Staples, CEO of APCO Worldwide in a release announcing Hill’s appointment. “Her deep industry knowledge with corporate communications in the food, health care, tourism and insurance sectors, and her academic dedication to furthering the knowledge of the discipline will be of great value to our clients.”
APCO’s CCS is a specialty group within its International Advisory Council (IAC) that provides top-tier guidance to clients facing communications challenges. It is composed of former corporate CEOs, heads of global corporate communications at major companies, CEOs of major public relations firms, and leading academics dedicated to the field of public relations and marketing.
With more than three decades of corporate communications and public relations experience, Hill specializes in strategic communication, organizational communication, change management and community relations. She previously held vice president of communications roles at Delhaize America, Quest Diagnostics, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Cigna. Hill also served as senior vice president of communications at Wyndham Exchange and Rentals.
