The executive director of Elon University's Student Professional Development Center presented "A Case Study: Launching a Modest but Ambitious Alumni Civic Engagement Project" on Oct. 23, 2015
Across the country, dozens of institutions engage alumni in meaningful, innovative ways, though few forums exist for leaders at these institutions to learn from each other what works in supporting alumni in their civic lives.
The Princeton AlumniCorps Conference brought together representatives to explore models of alumni civic engagement, from fellowships for recent graduates to programs supporting mid-life career changes, to “encore programs” for alumni over 60. Participants shared effective practices and fostered “cross-talk” among college and university representatives.
