The Elon community is invited to gather at 5:15 p.m. in front of Alamance Building to offer prayers for the victims of Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris.
Elon Vigil for Paris
5:15 p.m., Sunday, November 15
Scott Plaza in front of Alamance Building
The horrific events of Friday evening in Paris cause us terrible pain, and remind us that the world is one human family. The Elon community is invited to gather in solidarity, grief and resolve with the French people, to remember the slain, to pray for our world, and to stand together against any violence that diminishes the human spirit.
Please gather at Scott Plaza surrounding Fonville Fountain for a short candlelight vigil at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 15. Please know that many communities of prayer will be lifting up the special needs of our world and community during their worship on Sunday. LEAF–Lutheran, Episcopal, and Friends will meet for communion at 4:30 in Holt Chapel, and Catholic Masses begin at 4 and 6 p.m. at the Elon Community Church. You are invited to join those services in addition to attending this candlelight vigil.
