The Sport and Event Management Department hosted its fall 2015 Project Palooza, showcasing student work conducted during the semester.

The third floor of the Powell Building was humming with activity during the evening event as students shared presentations, displayed posters and discussed research projects. A Project Palooza photo gallery is available on the School of Communications’ Flickr page.
In Powell 302, the department hosted nearly two hours of student presentations, featuring funding request and marketing pitches, class projects and discussions of senior capstone projects. Senior Carol Pyszkowski’s “Elon Night with the Hurricanes” event was one of two capstone projects highlighted.
The funding requests included proposals for a charity 10K road race, a campus indoor turf facility at Elon, and a youth lacrosse program in Alamance County.

The poster topics highlighted a multitude of subjects, with titles such as “Perks and Problems of the Globalization of Sport,” “Are NFL Stadiums at Risk: Increasing Security at NFL Stadiums,” and “Factors that Influence the Career Readiness of Student-athletes.”
