The associate professor of communications was reelected in November at the National Communication Association’s annual convention.
The election was hosted at the national communications honor society’s business meeting, part of the 2015 National Communication Association convention held Nov. 19-22 in Las Vegas.
Ward-Johnson, who serves as adviser to Elon’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, was initially nominated to serve on the board by Elon communications honor society students. She has served on the board since 2013, and her recent reelection includes another two-year term.
The Lambda Pi Eta Faculty Advisory Board consists of five members from universities across the country elected by chapter advisers of Lambda Pi Eta. National board member responsibilities include connecting with faculty advisers from Lambda Pi Eta’s more than 400 active chapters, helping develop convention programming, assisting with the granting of association awards, and reviewing student papers for publication.
