The Isabella Cannon Global Education Center is communicating with travel agencies and Winter Term program leaders as a significant storm impacts the East Coast.
The Isabella Cannon Global Education Center is preparing to welcome home in the days ahead more than 1,000 students, staff and faculty who traveled over Winter Term in global engagement programs.
With disruptions caused by significant winter weather, Cannon Center staff are communicating with Aladdin Travel, program leaders, and partners on the ground to enact contingency plans where necessary.
The safety of students, faculty, and staff continues to be Elon’s top priority.
In the event that group travel is disrupted, communications will be emailed to students as well as students’ emergency contacts. While flight changes can produce frustration and anxiety, the Cannon Center staff and their partners are working to best support everyone’s safe return as has happened in similar situations in years past.
As such, it is possible that direct calls to the office could delay communications among the Isabella Cannon Global Education Center, Aladdin Travel, and program leaders in orchestrating everyone’s return.
Center staff appreciate parental patience as they work to build the best plan for everyone’s safe homecoming.
