Wind Ensemble will welcome special guests and Elon combined choirs during spring performance.
Elon Wind Ensemble “Phoenix Winds” will welcome Gerald Knight, associate professor of music, and the Elon University combined choirs for a special performance to feature the world premiere performance of Todd Coleman’s new work, In Kensington Garden, on Tuesday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. in McCrary Theater.
Coleman, an associate professor of music, created the work for wind ensemble, organ and an eight-part chorus. The special performance will also feature Anton Bruckner’s masterwork Mass in Em for winds and chorus. The second half of the program will feature the wind ensemble with works by Bach, Thompson and Ron Nelson.
