The ALANAM Women's Institute on April 2 is an empowering and interactive event catered specifically to women who identify as African American/Black, Latino/Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, Native American, Alaskan Native, and Multiracial.
The ALANAM Women’s Institute, titled “Self Love,” is an empowering and interactive event catered specifically to women who identify as African American/Black, Latino/Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, Native American, Alaskan Native, and Multiracial. The goal is to create a space where ALANAM women can share their background and experiences, and together come up with a set of tools to successfully navigate issues related to the work environment, relationships, health, self-discovery and education.
The 2016 ALANAM Women’s Institute is being held on April 2 in the Lakeside Meeting Rooms. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A continental breakfast will be served from 8:15-9 a.m. Lunch is included in the registration.
The Institute is free for Elon University students, faculty and staff. A $10-fee is required for all non-Elon University attendees.
The standard attire for the Women’s Institute is business casual (slacks, skirts, dress shirts, dresses, etc). Please be sure to avoid attire with any inappropriate language or images.
