Marketing professor Marko Sarstedt shared advice at Elon University from Feb. 11-12 for students and professors interested in hands-on data analysis.
Elon University hosted Marko Sarstedt, a professor of marketing at Germany’s Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, for a two-day software workshop this month geared toward faculty and research students.
Faculty researchers from regional universities visited campus to attend the program.
Sarstedt’s research focuses on the evaluation of consumer behavior. He has taught as a visiting professor at the University of Newcastle in Australia and at Munich’s Ludwig-Maximilians-University, and his research has been published in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and the Journal of Business Research.
His main research interests are the advancement of research methods to further the understanding of consumer behavior. Sarstedt was recently ranked as one of Germany, Austria and Switzerland’s top-three marketing researchers under age 40.
The workshop was held Feb. 11-12, 2016, in the Koury Business Center.
While at Elon, Sarstedt also met with marketing faculty as well as students from Germany.
