Amanda Chunco, assistant professor of environmental studies, and Jennifer Hamel, assistant professor of biology, took six students to the annual meeting of the Association of Southeastern Biologists March 31-April 2.
Two additional students, Emma Eskeland, who is majoring in biology, and Cas Levy, who is majoring in environmental studies, attended the conference but did not present research. The Annual Meeting of the Association of Southeastern Biologists is the largest regional ecology conference in the U.S., and it was hosted at the Concord Convention Center in North Carolina. Travel funding to the conference was provided by Elon’s Undergraduate Research Program.
