Professor Kevin Boyle’s new book of poems, “Astir,” won honorable mention in the Brockman-Campbell Book Award competition.
The prizes were awarded for the best books of poetry published by North Carolinians in 2015, as judged by the poet Barbara Hamby. Boyle will read with the three other winners of the contest in Southern Pines on Sept. 17.
