Elon Law SBA raises money for homelessness prevention initiative

The law school's Student Bar Association organized the inaugural Golf for Guilford tournament in September to benefit the county's Partners Ending Homelessness.

Elon Law’s Student Bar Association raised nearly $3,000 this fall in a golf tournament that benefitted Guilford County’s Partners Ending Homelessness.

Students, friends, family and others gathered Sept. 17 at Forest Oaks Country Club for the inaugural Golf for Guilford tournament.

Sponsors, supporters, donors, participants and partners included: The Law Office of James Weeks, The Reserve, Joymongers, Smith Street Diner, Golfsmith, Stumble Stilskins, Jennifer Gibert Mencarini, Newlin & Sharon Satterthwaite, the Metzger family, the Kelly family, the Anderson family, the Doerring family, Stacie Dooley, Tammy Horn & Jane Law, all of the Elon Law volunteers, Forest Oaks Country Club, Partners Ending Homelessness, and many others.

Organizers said they look forward to another Golf for Guilford tournament next year and to continue working alongside Partners Ending Homelessness to make a positive impact in the local community.
