Chelle Jeffery, a Greensboro-based physician assistant, discussed the benefits of advanced practice providers, highly trained clinicians who work in all specialties of health care.
Jeffery is a physician assistant at Urgent Medical & Family Care on Pomona Drive in Greensboro and a member of Cone Health Medical Staff. She works closely with Elon’s PA program as a preceptor and has more than 17 years of experience in the medical field.
In the interview, Jeffery discussed the critical role physician assistants play in the country’s ever-expanding healthcare system. Physician assistants can perform a wide range of preventative, acute health care services and are able to take care of many other issues a patient might have.
