Front Street UMC is seeking volunteers for Touch a Truck Event on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m-1 p.m.
This is a community family event. Children will have an opportunity to explore vehicles such as a fire truck, concrete mixer, ambulance, big rigs, the Biobus and more. They will “truck or treat” at each vehicle. We also offer games and other activities inside and out.
Admission is by donation and funds raised will be used for the church playschool program. Volunteers will help give out treats and keep children safe at unmanned vehicles or assist with games and activities/centers like fingernail painting, coloring, etc. and also help with clean-up at the end of the event, taking down tables and setting up chairs for theSunday worship service.
Volunteers can serve in two-hour shifts. If interested, please contact Barbara Long.
All Elon students must complete Title IX Training on Moodle before volunteering in the community. Your agency may also require a criminal background check. Please click here for more information: http://www.elon.edu/e-web/students/servicelearning/titleIX.xhtml
