“How to Succeed as a Communications Major,” an event to help Elon students learn about and navigate the different majors in the School of Communications, will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in McEwen 013.
Lambda Pi Eta, the communication honor society, is sponsoring the session, which will feature advice from professors and current students in each major, including strategic communications, media analytics, cinema and television arts, journalism, communication design, and sport and event management.
In addition to a panel discussion with professors, a question-and-answer period will be held. A mentoring session with senior communications students will allow for one-on-one advice. Pizza and drinks will be served.
“We hope to see many first- and second-year students at this event,” said Becca Johnson, honor society president. “Everyone is invited to attend.”
