Brandon Sheridan, assistant professor of economics, was among the experts interviewed for the Oct. 23 article looking at how the North Carolina economy has rebounded.
A recent report by the News & Record of Greensboro looking at the rebound of the North Carolina economy following the financial crisis included analysis by Brandon Sheridan, an assistant professor of economics.
The article took a look at Gov. Pat McCrory’s claims of a “Carolina Comeback” with particular attention to how the Triad and rural areas of the state have fared since the housing crisis and economic collapse.
“The current governor’s only been in office since 2013. It’s hard to see any fruits in those efforts targeted on any rural areas at this point,” Sheridan told the newspaper. “If you’re trying to assess the Carolina Comeback and whether it’s a success or failure, it’s too early to say.”
