Each year the fraternity recognizes "a deserving alumnus who has best advanced the interests" of the Elon chapter and its association.
Kappa Sigma’s Elon chapter has named Doug Frain of Greensboro, a 1991 graduate of the university, as its Lambda-Lambda Alumni Association Alumnus of the Year for 2016.
The fraternity’s Lambda-Lambda chapter at Elon notes that Frain has been an active alumnus “with his generous hospitality at Elon’s Homecoming events with his infamous motor coach” and has “maintained and nurtured brotherhood with his classmates and beyond.”
Frain graduated from Elon with a bachelor’s in business administration and went on to work for the Anthony Robbins organizations as a corporate sales trainer. Later working in the facility maintenance industry, Frain in 2011 co-founded Second Earth, a physical water treatment company that counts Fortune 100 companies as well as Elon University among its clients.
The Lambda-Lambda Alumni Association each year presents this award to “a deserving alumnus who has best advanced the interests of the Association and the Lambda-Lambda chapter.”
