The one-day seminar covered new developments in accounting, auditing and tax, as well as ethics, the economy and leadership branding.
The Department of Accounting in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business hosted 120 Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) on Nov. 11 for the 18th annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Seminar.
Participants learned about developments in accounting pronouncements, auditing standards, Federal tax and the Affordable Care Act; increased their understanding of North Carolina’s ethics requirement for CPAs; explored current U.S. macroeconomic trends; and learned tips about creating a personal leadership brand through intentional leadership practices.
