Landry-Montes and Kowalski’s article, “On practices of Inclusion and Exclusion: Exhibiting Native American, Maya, and African Objects at the Field Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago,” discusses methods for displaying non-Western objects in Chicago’s largest art and anthropology museums. It highlights the relationships between institutionalized curatorial decision-making and indigenous voice and representation.
