Mark Cryan, an assistant professor in sport and event management, wrote a series of articles about the Dominican Winter League for Ballpark Digest. The three-part series, titled "Baseball in the Republic," describes the fan experience, the facilities, and game on the field in the Dominican Republic's top baseball league.
