The fifth and final screening of the 2017 Tournées Francophone Film Festival is "Parce que j'étais peintre (Because I was a painter)," shown at 7 p.m. in Global Commons Media Room 103
This documentary reveals a few surviving artists from the Holocaust and the art they secretly produced in Nazi concentration campus. Evan Gatti (Department of Art and Art History) will introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion.
