The screening of the award-winning documentary will be begin at 8 p.m.
The award-winning documentary “Before the Flood,” hosted by Leonardo DiCaprio, will be screened in Turner Theatre on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 8 p.m.
The film follows DiCaprio as he travels to five continents and the Arctic speaking to scientists, world leaders, activists and local residents to gain a deeper understanding of climate change and investigate concrete solutions to the most pressing challenge of our time.
The screening came about in response to student interest and is sponsored by Elon University’s School of Communications and the Office of Sustainability. A partnership between the filmmakers and the Association for the Advancement Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), of which Elon is a member, has helped make the screening possible.
All faculty, staff and students have free admission to Turner Theatre with a Phoenix Card, along with family members or a friend.
