A full lineup of events is slated for Saturday and Sunday as Elon welcomes new and transfer students to the university community.
Elon University will welcome the newest members of its student community to campus this weekend during a two-day orientation as the university prepares for the start of Spring Semester.
Across Saturday and Sunday, new and transfer students will be getting to know Elon through various events and sessions designed for them and their families.
Orientation check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with students and their families participating in orientation sessions that include “We bELONg: Commitment to Commuity,” “Living the Maroon Life” and “Supporting Your Elon Student. Students will meet with their academic advisors on Sunday morning and participate in an engaged learning session before gathering with their families and classmates for a lunch in Lakeside Hall.
Families will say goodbye to their students following New Student Convocation in Whitley Auditorium, which begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by an orientation session for students at 3:30 p.m. as they prepare for the start of Spring Semester on Monday, Jan. 30.
