Student teachers meet with local principals to achieve interview success

The School of Education appreciates the support from strong leaders in the Alamance-Burlington School System who are willing to work with Elon's (soon-to-be) newest teachers.

Recently, student teachers in the School of Education had the opportunity to learn from three incredible principals in the Alamance-Burlington School System.

Darrell Thomas from the Career & Technical Education Center, Teresa Faucette from Southern Alamance High School and Todd Stephen from Western Alamance High School took time to share what they look for in new teaching candidates and respond to questions from students. The principals also worked with student teachers to practice interviewing and gave them feedback on their resumes.

Student teachers who attended this session found it to be “incredibly helpful” and they “feel more confident as they search for jobs!”
