The Elon University alumna was elevated to vice president of multiplatform content and partnerships at Authentic Entertainment, overseeing the Emmy Award-winning production company’s creative development efforts for original video content.
The recent promotion of Nneka Enurah ’11, a School of Communications graduate, has collected headlines this week across the entertainment industry, with related stories appearing in Deadline, Variety and Realscreen.
The media arts and entertainment major was named vice president of multiplatform content and partnerships at Authentic Entertainment, an unscripted production company based in Burbank, California. A subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America, the Emmy Award-winning company has produced several unscripted hits, including “Toddlers and Tiaras,” “Flipping Out,” “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” “Ace of Cakes,” “Best Thing I Ever Ate,” and the upcoming return of “Trading Spaces.”
According to Deadline’s April 6 article, titled “Authentic Entertainment Ups Four Execs,” Enurah will lead creative development efforts for original video content across all platforms and is tasked with establishing new strategic partnerships in the digital space.
The Realscreen release also noted that Enurah, formerly vice president of digital content and communications, recently sold the branded series “Glow with Me,” featuring beauty expert Ole Henriksen. She was also responsible for the sale of “Breaking Bass,” a docu-series commissioned by Complex Network’s digital channel Rated Red, slated to premiere this summer on Verizon Go90.
Prior to joining Authentic Entertainment, Enurah developed and produced digital and television content for the global media company POPSUGAR, where she led lifestyle programming efforts and helped to create branded content for clients such as Nike, Crest, Levi’s, Dr. Pepper and St. Ives.
Additionally, Enurah serves on the public relations committee and board of directors for I Am Not The Media Inc., a nonprofit organization that strives to promote media literacy in youth through programs and educational events.
In 2014, Enurah was recognized at Elon University’s Top 10 Under 10 Alumni Awards Ceremony, an annual event that celebrates recent alumni who have enjoyed major professional success, made a big difference in their community, and been loyal supporters of Elon. She also serves as the president of Elon University’s Los Angeles alumni chapter.
