The hour-long concert will begin at 7 p.m. in Yeager Auditorium in the Center for the Arts.
The Elon World Percussion Ensemble concert will be tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. in Yeager Auditorium in the Center for the Arts. The program will be a celebration of traditional West African rhythms that foreshadowed that evolution of today’s music. All students and faculty are invited.
The ensemble is also looking for new members for the Fall of 2017. There is no prior experience required and the class meets once a week on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:10 p.m.
Sign up for MUS106G. If a student is looking for an experience of diversity with fun and challenges, the ensemble welcomes them. It is a great way to wind up your week and it is worth 1 expression credit. It is noted for its camaraderie and for being literally, a “hands-on experience” exemplifying the goal of experiential learning.
The World Percussion Ensemble is in its 10th year and is directed by Adjunct Instructor Jim Roberts
