Elon launches brick campaign to honor loyal alumni and senior donors

Alumni and members of the class of 2017 who invest in Elon’s future by May 31 will be able to personalize a campus brick.

The bricks are back! For the first time in more than four years, alumni and senior students who invest in Elon’s future will be honored on an iconic Elon brick.

Alumni and seniors can participate in the “Brick by Brick” campaign by setting up a recurring gift of $5 per month or $60 per year to any area of campus. Gifts must be submitted by May 31, the last day of the university’s fiscal year.

“As alumni, we all love this place and treasure the experiences we had here,” says Brian Feeley ’03, the university’s director of alumni engagement. “By giving back to Elon every year, we play a direct role in increasing the value of our degrees and the university’s national reputation. Most importantly, our support shows that we believe in the future of our alma mater and the transformative nature of an Elon education. The brick campaign is a meaningful opportunity for us to leave our mark on campus.”

Inspired by tremendous alumni participation during the 2013 Pave the Way campaign, “Brick by Brick” allows alumni to solidify and personalize their support for the university. Each gift made during the “Brick by Brick” campaign becomes a physical reminder of the opportunities and traditions provided by support from Elon alumni.

Alumni who participate in “Brick by Brick” will also become a part of the 1889 Society, which honors Elon’s most loyal alumni donors. Location of the bricks will be determined based on response to the campaign, and all bricks will be installed on campus by Homecoming Weekend 2017, to be held Nov. 3-5.
