Katharine Frazier, Stephen Farabee and Michael Drane received scholarships to pursue Certified Management Accountant certification.
Elon MBA candidates Katharine Frazier, Stephen Farabee and Michael Drane were recently awarded the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Scholarship from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
The scholarship is valued at approximately $2,500, and covers IMA membership dues for three years, registration fees for the CMA exam and review materials.
The CMA is the gold standard of certification in management accounting. Achieving the CMA designation demonstrates professional expertise in financial planning, analysis, control, decision support, and professional ethics.
Cale Murray, a 2016 Elon MBA graduate and last year’s CMA scholarship recipient, received his CMA certification after passing the CMA exam in fall 2016.
Founded in 1919, IMA is the worldwide association of accountants and financial professionals in business. With more than 85,000 members, it is one of the largest associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession.
