The New York City Alumni Chapter hosted its annual professional development event with an extraordinary group of alumni panelists.
The Elon New York City Alumni Chapter hosted its annual Professional Development Day on Wednesday, June 7, as a celebration of success, networking, and career growth for alumni.
Overlooking Lexington Avenue from the rooftop patio of Davio’s, Elon alumni networked with classmates across a variety of industries, and had the incredible opportunity to hear from a panel of diversely talented alumni on what it takes to make it in the Big Apple.
Six well-established alumni shared their stories of success, failure, best practices, and words of wisdom. Representing the industries of journalism, finance, performing arts, nonprofits and public relations, these featured panelists spoke on the theme “Alumni on the Grind,” contributing incredible insight on how to do well and achieve goals in New York City to more than 50 alumni in attendance.
One panelist, Sam Emrich ’12, advised the audience to “find something you love, something you’re passionate about, and just do it. If you love it enough, you’ll find the time for it.”
The Office of Alumni Engagement and the Elon New York City Alumni Chapter would like to thank the panelists, moderator, and the alumni, who attended, for making this year’s Professional Development Day a success.
