Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor and director of Teaching Fellows, gave four presentations and received a research paper award at the Annual Conference of the International Society of Technology in Education.
Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program, gave four presentations at the 2017 International Society of Technology in Education Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

Carpenter, Krutka and Trust gave one presentation that was an overview of the awarded paper. They also gave two presentations related to a framework for professional learning network enrichment. One of these presentations, titled “Building a Better PLN, Becoming a Better Teacher,” was oriented towards practicing K-12 educators, and the other, titled “Enriching Professional Learning Networks: A Framework for Identification, Reflection, and Intention,” was oriented towards researchers and teacher educators
Finally, Carpenter gave a presentation titled “Technology’s Roles in Teaching and Learning in the Global Read Aloud.” This presentation was based on research conducted with Elon colleague Julie Justice, assistant professor of education.
