Sarah Spaeth ’14, a first grade teacher at Pearsontown Elementary School in Durham, North Carolina, recently received a visit from N.C. Gov. Roy Cooper. The visit was part of a tour by Cooper, who was promoting a statewide school supply drive that will run Aug. 14 to Sept. 8. During the visit, Spaeth’s students were very eager to show Gov. Cooper how they greet one another each day.
“Elon has taught me to create a community of learners,” Spaeth said. “Thank you for instilling in me the skills I use each and every day.”
