Fans are invited to Rhodes Stadium on Friday to celebrate the start of another football season.
Food trucks will be available throughout the evening, as well as inflatables, cornhole and a balloon artist for children in attendance. Fans can pick up football and fall sports schedule posters as well as receive giveaways and prizes throughout the evening.
Additionally, the Elon Ticket Office is offering discounted reserved section tickets in Sections 108 and 109 for the Sept. 16 Elon-Charleston Southern game on Sept. 16 for only $10, half the normal price. The ticket discount is available exclusively at the Phoenix Kickoff.
All in attendance will have the chance to watch first-year head coach Curt Cignetti and the Phoenix in its second and final scrimmage of fall camp, as the maroon and gold preps for its season opener on Aug. 31 at Mid-American Conference powerhouse Toledo. The team will take the field at 6:15 p.m. and the scrimmage will begin at 6:45 p.m.
Additionally, fans are invited to watch the Elon men’s soccer team in an exhibition match at 5 p.m. versus Triad rival UNC-Greensboro at Rudd Field, which is adjacent to Rhodes Stadium.
