The new graduate program prepares students to find rewarding careers in financial accounting, auditing, taxation and other related fields.
Elon University announces an accelerated, full-time Master of Science in Accounting program with concentrations in tax and audit. The 30-hour program emphasizes career readiness and intense preparation for the CPA exam.
Students begin taking graduate-level courses during their final undergraduate semester as they seamlessly transition into graduate work. At the conclusion of five years, students will have undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting. They will have gained knowledge through 21 core hours in accounting and nine elective hours, participation in a global study experience, and small class sizes with faculty who reflect the best of the academic and professional worlds.
“Our goal for the Master of Science in Accounting program is to prepare students to become CPAs while providing engaged learning, interactions with professionals, and a seamless transition between undergraduate and graduate study,” said Raghu Tadepalli, dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.
Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the M.S. Accounting will begin offering classes in spring 2018.
