For author Tesa Jones ’73, Elon Homecoming offers a chance to return to the place that inspired her novels.
After all, the campus plays a prominent role in her first book, “Cobwebs of Time,” which is set in the 1970s. Her second novel, “Reflection of Memories,” came out in August and also has chapters set on Elon’s campus.
In honor of this connection, Jones, who during her Elon days was known as Teri Ranney, will host a book-signing event at the Barnes & Noble at Elon University on Nov. 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Alumni are encouraged to visit the bookstore for the opportunity to talk to the author and purchase signed copies of her novels.
“Reflection of Memories” has been described as “a tale of family, friendship and love.” The story incorporates the historical events and cultural changes of the 1900s. A romantic thriller, “Cobwebs of Time” explores dynamic characters growing up in 1970s America and captures the voice of a generation.
A retired teacher and mother of two, Jones lives in Mooresville, North Carolina.
