Terry Tomasek, associate professor of education and director of the Elon Academy, was presented with the Academic Collaboration Award for creating a successful living and learning environment for residential students.
This award was presented on Nov.8 at the North Carolina Housing Officers (NCHO) / North Carolina College Personnel Association (NCCPA) conference in Asheville, N.C.
The NCHO Professional Development committee recognized Tomasek’s outstanding contributions to the residence life at Elon University. She has helped to bridge the gap between faculty and student affairs professionals, enhanced the out-of-classroom experience of residential students, and has gone beyond the call of duty to further the sense of community on Elon’s campus.
