The 15th ranked Phoenix will take on the Paladins at 1 p.m. Campus residence halls will open early so students can return to campus from Thanksgiving break for the big game.
The Elon University football team, ranked as high as 15th in the nation, will make its second-ever NCAA Division I Football Championship appearance as the Phoenix will play host to the Furman Paladins on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 1 p.m. The Phoenix finished the regular season with an 8-3 overall record and posted a 6-2 mark in CAA Football play in 2017.
Furman, ranked #22 nationally, wrapped up the regular season with a 7-4 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the Southern Conference.
The winner of the Elon-Furman game will advance to take on seventh-seeded Wofford on Dec. 2.
Students are encouraged to return to campus to cheer on the Phoenix and can attend the game with a valid Phoenix Card. In order to accommodate student interest in returning for the game, residence halls will re-open early from the Thanksgiving Break. The halls will now re-open Friday evening, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. to accommodate returning students. Many campus services will remain limited, but meal plans will begin at dinner on Saturday night, Nov. 25 (Lakeside will be open for dinner that evening from 5-7 p.m). Food Dollars and Phoenix Cash are accepted at concession stands during the game Saturday. The Moseley Center schedule has also been modified and the building will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Tickets for the game are now on sale. Ticket orders can be made at elonphoenix.com/tickets or by calling the Elon Ticket Office at 336-278-6750 (refer to office hours below).
