Journalist Jill Lepore to speak about 'The Rise and Fall of the Fact' TONIGHT

Lepore, a staff writer at The New Yorker, will deliver the James P. Elder Lecture in Whitley Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

Jill Lepore is a staff writer at The New Yorker, where she writes about American history, law, literature politics. Her books include “The Name of War,” which won the Bancroft Prize; “New York Burning,” which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in history; “The Story of America,” which was short-listed for the PEN Literary Award for the Art of the Essay; “Book of Ages,” a finalist for the National Book Award; and “The Secret History of Wonder Woman,” winner of the 2015 American History Book Prize.

Lepore is the David Woods Kemper ’41 Professor of American History at Harvard University and an affiliated faculty member at Harvard Law School.
