The Elon University student media organizations collected three Best of Show awards in a contest hosted by the North Carolina College Media Association.
The Pendulum, the newspaper of the Elon News Network, and Phi Psi Cli yearbook were awarded individual and Best of Show awards on Feb. 24 by the North Carolina College Media Association. The awards were presented at the association’s conference for college media students and advisers held at North Carolina State University.
The awards contest included hundreds of entries from more than 20 college media outlets from across the state. Below is a list of only the Elon winners. (The place next to the names indicates where students finished in a particular category.)

In total, six Elon University students attended the daylong conference, which featured workshops, panel discussions, critiques and a keynote address. The students in attendance were ENN staff members Reid Cobb, Emmanuel Morgan and Grace Morris, as well as Phi Psi Cli members Jordan Levine, Sarah Stone and Laurel Wind. Morgan, ENN managing editor, and Wind, Phi Psi Cli editor-in-chief, presented in sessions addressing best practices for their respective publications.
Lecturer Kelly Furnas and Communications Manager Tommy Kopetskie accompanied the students to the Raleigh conference. Furnas serves as The Pendulum adviser, while Kopetskie advises the yearbook.
