This is the second consecutive year that Elon's Jimmy Powell Tennis Center will be home to the conference championships, which take place April 19-22.
For the second year in a row, Elon University will host the Colonial Athletic Association Tennis Championships on campus this week, April 19-22. The championships take place in a bracket-style tournament with winners advancing each day Thursday through Sunday.
Beginning Friday morning, East College Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic between North Antioch Avenue and Kerr Avenue throughout the weekend. In addition, the Powell House parking lot will be closed beginning on Tuesday to allow room for tournament infrastructure that was previously located in East Gym.
The fourth-seeded Phoenix women’s team will take to the courts at Burlington Tennis Center on Friday morning 9 a.m. against fifth-seeded Drexel. If Elon wins, it will compete Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Elon’s campus.
The second-seeded Phoenix men’s team opens their tournament Friday at 1 p.m. versus seventh-seeded Hoftsra at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center. If Elon is victorious, the team plays Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

To accommodate the championships, East College Avenue will be closed from North Antioch Avenue to Kerr Avenue from 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, though the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday, April 22.
