As professionals with varying levels of privilege in relation to the students and communities we serve, we have an elevated responsibility to do our own work individually and within our teams. This process begins with self-reflection and a commitment to ongoing education, but must expand into actionable strategies for change in ourselves, our programs and our organizations. We need to engage public health, education, leadership and anti-oppression frameworks to find strategies to defy white supremacy and other oppressive structures in order to serve survivors with minoritized identities best. A continental breakfast will be provided for those who register.
