Have a perfectly good item you won’t need anymore? Donation Stations will be set up throughout campus May 9-23 to collect your items and bring them to local nonprofit organizations.
Students will once again have the opportunity to get rid of their unwanted items in a sustainable way as the academic comes to a close.
Through the Don’t Trash It! campaign, students can donate usable items such as unopened food, furniture, clothing and blankets to multiple community charities. Last year, more than 11,000 pounds of goods were donated to local nonprofit organizations.
Students living on campus can drop items at the Donation Station in their residential neighborhood. Students living off campus as well as faculty and staff can drop items off directly at the Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill trucks parked in the Oaks or Danieley residential neighborhood lots. The trucks will be open for donations from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
