The Communications Fellow, who is a double major in cinema and television arts and international studies, received a summer grant and scholarship.
Alex Mancuso ’19 has been selected for the Scripps Howard Foundation’s 2018 Internship and Scholarship Program. The cinema and television arts and international studies double major received a $3,000 summer grant, along with a $500 scholarship for the fall 2018 semester.
Originally from Acworth, Georgia, Mancuso is completing an internship this summer with Atlanta Media Pros, a full-service video production company in Marietta, Georgia.
“It’s incredibly humbling to receive this support from Scripps Howard and I am extremely grateful for their contribution to my learning experience,” Mancuso said. “I’m thankful for Elon’s support and for their partnership with Scripps Howard and to have them both support me and my goals.”
Last year, Mancuso was among 500 U.S. undergraduate and graduate students selected for the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship Program, where he studied Arabic in Morocco.
During his time on campus, the Communications Fellow has participated in Elon Student Television and elondocs, the documentary production program in the School of Communications.
