Jason Husser, associate professor of political science and director of the Elon University Poll, offered his thoughts on the implications from a recent court ruling in the lawsuit challenging the state's Congressional districts.
Jason Husser, associate professor of political science and the director of the Elon University Poll, was featured Tuesday on the FOX News program “Special Report with Bret Baier.”
Husser offered his insights on the federal appeals court ruling earlier this week that declared the Congressional districts drawn by the N.C. General Assembly unconstitutional, causing turmoil leading up to this fall’s general election in the state.
“It could definitely make the difference in several House races in North Carolina, and importantly, it could delay when we find out who actually wins the majority in the U.S House of Representatives,” Husser said during the interview.
Husser would go on to say that this election could see a shift in North Carolina’s U.S. House delegation, with perhaps a few more of the state’s 13 seats going to Democrats.
