The accounting and finance honor organization welcomed 23 new members in fall 2018.
Elon University’s Lambda Xi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), the international honor organization for financial information students and professionals, inducted 23 new members in a ceremony on Sept. 4.
To be eligible for membership, students must demonstrate scholastic accomplishment and professional excellence by maintaining a 3.0 overall GPA with a 3.0 minimum GPA in upper-level accounting and finance classes. Additionally the chapter requires that members complete six hours of service with BAP and two hours outside BAP each semester.
Following the ceremony, Student Professional Development Center staff members delivered a presentation on professional dress, elevator pitches and how to prepare for the upcoming Accounting Meet and Greet, which BAP will host on Sept. 12.
