Kara Goldin, named one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs, will speak to students about managing the risks and rewards of entrepreneurial endeavors.
Entrepreneur Kara Goldin, founder and CEO of hint Inc., will visit Elon University to deliver the C. Ashton Newhall Endowed Lecture on Nov. 1 at 4:15 p.m. in the Koury Business Center’s LaRose Digital Theatre.
Based in San Francisco, hint, Inc. produces the leading, award-winning, no-sweetener flavored water, as well as a newly launched oxybenzone and paraben-free, naturally scented sunscreen.
The C. Ashton Newhall Endowed Lecture Series, named for Elon University trustee C. Ashton Newhall ’98 and hosted by the Doherty Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, brings successful entrepreneurs to campus to share their knowledge and experience managing the risks and rewards of entrepreneurial endeavors.
Goldin has been named among Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs and Forbes’ 40 Women to Watch Over 40. The Huffington Post listed her as one of six disruptors in business, alongside Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg.

Previously, Goldin was vice president of shopping and e-commerce partnerships at AOL, where she helped lead the growth of its startup shopping business to a $1 billion enterprise.
Goldin is an active business speaker and writer, a member of C200, and a member of SFBay YPO, the world’s premier chief executive leadership organization. In 2016, she launched The Kara Network, a digital resource and mentoring platform for aspiring and established entrepreneurs.
